Collect: God of constant mercy, who sent your Son to save us: remind us of your goodness, increase your grace within us, that our thankfulness may grow, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Christ Church is now normally open for prayer and quiet reflection, Monday to Saturday, about 9.30 to 3.30
Ann Lewis, who has been a devoted member of CC for many years wishes to thank everyone for their kind good wishes and prayers as she moves to Cornwall this week to be near her daughter. Ann will always remember you all with great affection.
Rev Alison and Jon would like to thank everyone for their kind wishes, cards and gifts. The warmth of your friendship and support over the last three years has been tremendous and we will remember you all with great fondness. Thank you too for your patience in waiting for the formal announcement of my next parish.

Rev Phil’s installation as a Prebendary at Lichfield Cathedral: 3.30pm on Sunday 13 September. Please inform Rev Phil if you wish to attend before the end of August.
Pilgrimage to Greece in the Footsteps of St Paul. Rev Phil is planning to lead this pilgrimage from 13 to 20 September 2027. Sites to be visited include Thessalonica, Philippi, Meteora, Delphi, Athens and Corinth. Brochures available in church or from Rev Phil. Low deposit for those booking before end of August.
Live music concert presented by the Christ Church Social Committee: featured artist – Bilston guitarist and singer Robert Williams. Saturday 05 September 2026, 3pm-5pm in the Jubilee Room. Tickets £8 per person available from Clive Childs or any Social Committee Member. Tea, coffee and cake will be served during the interval. The Social Committee request please donations of cakes for this occasion. Many thanks.

RECYCLING Unfortunately, Terracycle will no longer accept our plastic bread bags for recycling. However, these can be dropped off at most supermarkets. Crisp packets continue to be collected at Christ Church. Thank you for your care for our planet; every little helps!
Visit Lichfield Cathedral by 31 August for the Whales! Suspended, soaring whale sculptures in the nave, award‑winning ocean photography, hands‑on family activities and thoughtful conversations, are among the ways the Cathedral becomes a space to explore our shared connection to the oceans.
