Discipleship Group Planning: on our Mission Action Plan we intend to run a Discipleship Group for enquirers and people new to faith (e.g Alpha Course). Anyone interested in joining the planning group please speak to one of the Clergy.
WhatsApp: PCC in November agreed that a separate Parish Prayer WhatsApp group (called PoTW Prayer Group), to support the work of our Mission Action Plan, and run alongside the Parish Contact Group. Since it was set up, the Parish Contact Group has grown, with a wide range of messages, topics and posts, some of which are prayer-related being posted, as well as celebrating birthdays and other significant events.
PoTW Prayer Group will launch today, and will be for posting prayer requests (including about individuals, local, national and world events), entries from our Prayer diary and prayer reflections on topics. Please ensure you have the consent of the individual (as we do with the prayer lists in church) before posting prayer requests. Where a post is about someone who has passed away, please get consent from a family member and one of the clergy team will post the message on the Group.
To join, search for PoTW Prayer Group, or ask Stephanie Hemming (Good Shepherd) or Pam Humphrey (Christ Church) to add you to the group.
The Parish Contact Group will continue to operate and will be there for sharing general information about the parish, services, events and so on, as well as a chance to celebrate birthdays and other events, or to ask for information from the group. We hope that you will find the PoTW Prayer Group a helpful resource and would welcome feedback as the new group evolves.
